Retail Therapy

Everyone deserves a little retail therapy and with more than 10 shopping locations you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for in the Shire’s shopping centres, plazas and malls. Most of the centres listed below offer banking, Australia Post and dry cleaning services.

Cronulla Plaza

Cronulla Plaza has a great range of shops with all the latest in ladies and kids fashion, beachwear, beautiful homewares, variety stores, toys and books. There are also three supermarkets in Cronulla, two IGA stores and a Woolworths, as well as a post office, dry cleaner and several banks. Westfield Miranda

One of the largest Westfield’s in Sydney, Westfield Miranda is a shopping destination! There’s two food courts and around 400 retail outlets including David Jones, Myer, JB Hi-Fi, Big W, Woolworths, Witchery, Sportsgirl, Rebel Sport, Industrie, Roger David, Michael Hill Jeweller, Target, Diana Ferrari, Country Road, Lush, General Pants Co and Event Cinemas.

Gymea Shopping Village

Take a wander down Gymea Bay road for a unique shopping experience, the Southern end of the mall has some great home wares, gift and clothing stores. The Northern end has some fantastic cafes and restaurants as well as the award winning Nina’s Chocolates.

Southgate Shopping Centre at Sylvania

This is a great little shopping centre with undercover parking and over 60 stores. It’s home to the only KMART in the Shire which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as AMF ten pin bowling. There’s also a great range of fresh food stores, cafes, an Australia Post, hair salons and fashion stores such as Sussan, Noni-B, Stranbags, Payless Shoes and Just Jeans.

Caringbah Homemaker Centre

This is largely a furniture and homewares centre, with stores including; JB Hi Fi, Freedom, Nick Scali, Harvey Norman, Forty Winks and Fantastic Furniture. Just up the road from the centre is the Good Guys, Rays outdoors, Officeworks and Bunnings warehouse.

Shire Wide

There are several more small shopping centres in the Shire including Menai Marketplace, Engadine Central and Illawong Village Shopping Centre. You can also wander through outdoor shopping strips at Kirrawee, Bundeena, Caringbah, Sutherland, Jannali, Sylvania Waters and Illawong.
