Every year on 29 April, a ceremony is held at Kamay Botany Bay National Park to commemorate the Meeting of Two Cultures - when crew from Cook’s HM Endeavour first set foot on land at Kurnell in Botany Bay in 1770.
Thursday, 30 April 2015 is ‘Pay It Forward Day’, an international day of celebration founded by local Shire resident Blake Beattie in 2007. The idea for ‘Pay It Forward Day’ came from the novel ‘Pay It Forward’ and the movie of the same name.
Kareela Village is currently under development. The owners of the centre, Dan Properties, are long term investors in this centre and have a clear vision to create a highly convenient and unique shopping experience for the local residents.
